The Brunel Engineering Services 500 x 8mtr Vacuum Conveyor.
This particular model was originally a special commission, demonstrating our capability to provide a machine to specific customer requirements.
At this length, it is able to be fitted with multiple work stations for progressive work processing.
Like other models, it provides a hold-down force to keep paper and board products firmly pinned down while they undertake processing operations like Tape Application, Glueing or Tipping
This model can be used to carry multiple equipment, such as our Reel or Bobbin Fed, Two Sided Tape Applicators.
Or for a Glue and Tipping Application where Hotmelt Glue is applied to a carrier product as it passes and a Friction Feeder, which when mounted over the conveyor, precisely applies a second product on to the glued carrier. This principle can be adapted to place a product into a shallow tray.
It has a variable speed typically up to 100 linear m/min and usually has a single phase supply. It has individual Start/Stop circuits for conveyor and vacuum and a safety circuit with E-Stops.
Three Control stations are situated on a raised posts along its length for easy access.
The Vacuum fans can easily be hinged downward to clear any obstructions that may have been carried over. The multiple fan hinges are linked to the safety circuit.
